Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford was born in America. The actress is an actress, singer and dancer. Her first Broadway role, she was in Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. Her first Tony Award was given to Ashford for her performance as Essie Carmichael, in You Can't Take It With You. Annaleigh Ashford, Tony Award winner actor has worked alongside acclaimed actors and directors on stage and screen. The award-winning actress continues her career by working on new projects. Ashford will next be seen with Kumail Nannjiani in Robert Siegel's Hulu Limited series Welcome to Chippendales premiering November 22. Ashford is currently in production on Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust starring opposite Sarah Paulson and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. It will also be available as an Hulu Original on Disney DTC. Ashford is scheduled to return to Broadway on March 20, 2023 in which he'll be starring alongside Josh Groban opposite Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production will be held in the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Thomas Kail (director) and Jeffrey Seller (producer), exactly the same group that brought us Hamilton, will direct the production. Ashford was most recently seen as Paula Jones in Ryan Murphy FX show American Crime Story Impeachment. This show is based around the National Crisis, which saw Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp as the central figure in the first impeachment proceeding in America in Over 100 Years. She starred in two seasons of popular CBS comedy B Positive. It was developed by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. Also, it featured Ben Vereen and Hector Elizondo. The actress has also performed in Broadway in Sunday in the Park With George Wicked, Legally Blonde in addition to the original character as Lauren in Kinky Boots for which she was nominated for a Tony Award. Ashford divides her time between Los Angeles & New York. She was born in Denver & raised there.
