April Lockhart
April Lockhart is a born on July 4th April, 1995. As a seventh-grade student she began to take guitar lessons and piano lessons. That ignited her enthusiasm for songwriting. In the seventh grade April started taking piano and guitar lessons. It sparked her interest in songwriting. At 14 old, she devoted an enormous amount of time developing song ideas and perfecting the music. Over the next few months, she started taking writing excursions together with her dad to LA in addition to NY. April began to include additional relevant subjects into the song, which she called the Take my Hand song for some acquaintances, including peer pressure problems and suicides among teenagers. Lockhart is a well-known lifestyle influencer as well as working in partnerships with clean beauty brands Ilia, has built a large audience. Lockhart was born with no left hand. It's an aspect of her identity, but this isn't the whole truth. Lockhart doesn't deny her disability on Instagram, but she isn't making it the focal point of her story. What message is it trying to convey? We are all more than our physical selves. Our identities are complicated and we contain many different dimensions. Lockhart said via video that she does not want to be defined by her physical disability. She does not want to become a disability advocate who only speaks about it. There are a lot of aspects of Lockhart. It doesn't impact my everyday living. I still do all the normal things and have adjusted to my disability. This is a major part of my life, so it is important that we talk about it. Self-acceptance can be a marathon for a lifetime but Lockhart is an absolute inspiration for this aspect. However, she acknowledges going through periods of being uncomfortable with her body and sometimes being unsure about wearing specific types of clothes showing off her arms. Nowadays, she dresses whatever she wants and posts photos in those outfits to social networks with a sense of pride. The self-love she talks about is a journey. It's hard to say when you'll reach the final stage. This is true for everyone, no matter what their degree of self-confidence. I think that having people with you who know you and see your heart is really important because they'll be the people who remind you What are you concerned about?
