Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on the 12th of November, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast, and holds the record for being awarded 10/10 marks in an Olympic competition. Comaneci was spotted by Bela Karolyi who was later her Romanian gymnastics coach at the time she was just six years old. Her first competition was at the national junior championships in 1969, finishing 13th. She was the winner in the year 1970. Three gold medals were awarded in her first competition at a junior Olympic meet in 1972 for communist countries. Between 1973 and 1974, she became the junior all-round champion. Her debut as a Senior in the year 1975, she defeated Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. The five-time European champ winning four golds and one argent. In 1976, she was the first person in the world who used a double backwards salto in order to take off parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was in her teens she started appearing on touring shows like Ice Capades as a skater together with her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol began her career in entertainment during her teenage years. She began her career by joining her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling performance. The show featured dramatic ice skating shows.
